Photoshoot Planning

 1. What is the topic of my 300-word article?

The topic of my article is going to be mainly focused on how woman's basketball is on the rise and looking further into the process and journey of a high school teenage girl basketball player who dreams on going to college to play at the next level. It will also highlight different women's basketball players who have been a part of the process of women's basketball becoming more popular

2.  How can I illustrate that text in images? In other words, what images would be suitable as illustrations for that text? What should those images depict?

Some images that would be suitable to fit that text would be relevant girls high school basketball players who plan on playing in college and/or professionally

3. Who is going to be the model?

N/A

4.  What mise en scene am I going to use for the photo shoot? Where am I going to take these photos (LOCATION)? What costumes am I going to use? In other words, how is the model going to be dressed for the photo shoot?

The photos will be taken in a place familiar to all basketball players, so it will be in a gym. The model will be dressed in 2 outfits throughout the photoshoot. The first one would be their full jersey and a pair of in game basketball shoes. The second would be a modern/fashionable teenage look with shoes and other accessories up to date with what teenage girls are wearing today

5. What camera shots should I use for the front cover? What camera shots should I use for the double page spread and the table of contents?

The camera shot used for the front cover should be a medium long shot to display my models full face and outfit being that she will be in her game attire. For the double page spread and table of contents ill use a combination of close-ups and low angle to show domination being that the main focus of the magazine is going to be women's basketball o the come-up

6. How should I frame the image for the front cover, so I have enough space in the photo to add my text elements (masthead, coverlines and other elements such as the dateline, barcode, and any other additional elements (skylines, straplines, flashes and puffs, etc.)

The image will have no border and be placed toward the right middle side of the page so that the masthead can be placed above with the coverlines to the right of it. Also, the image will be placed in this position so that a flash can be added directly to the left of it to catch the reader's eye
